“Clean Energy & You” was
the topic of a public information session held Thursday, August
16, 6:00 PM, at the Haverhill Public Library. Sponsored by the
Mayor’s Energy Task Force, the event included information on
new clean energy programs for Haverhill residents, energy conservation,
and recommendations made by the Energy Task Force for Haverhill to
improve its energy efficiency.
Attendees had the opportunity
to sign up for a home energy audit by Conservation Services Group or switch to clean energy supplied by MassEnergy, Sterling Planet, or NewWind Energy.
The Johnson Auditorium uses only compact
fluorescent lighting, and resides in the Haverhill Public Library,
which is heated and cooled by a geothermal heating system.
